Merry Christmas & Happy New Year 2023

Fortnum & Mason’s Christmas pudding display was the most fun set of decorations I’d seen in to the run to Christmas. 1/200s 50mm F1.8 ISO 400.

I’ve packed a lot into 2023, I think by far it’s the busiest and most eventful year for me so far. I’ve made further progress into my photography career, and I’ve travelled inside and outside the UK more than ever before. It’s not always been sunshine and roses, there’s definitely been some real difficulties and struggles along the way, but I really do feel that I am ending 2023 in a better place than where I started.

Winter is always a quieter for me in terms of work so I have the time to think and reflect on what went well, what didn’t and where I could do things differently and improve. I already have one exciting project I have started already this month and there’s certainly many other things in the works. Something I am in desperate need of doing is updating my website with all my latest images from the last six months. The fact that everything is now so out of date is another indicator in how much am I doing and achieving.

2024 is going to be even more exciting, especially if I manage to pull of one of my dreams later in the year, though I can’t say too much about it at this stage. In the meantime, however I will be continuing to build from the success of this year. I do feel I have reached a turning point, not just in my photography but also my confidence. I sincerely hope that you too are feeling as positive as I am as the year ends and a new one begins.

Merry Christmas & Happy New Year.
