Diocese of St Albans
Founded in 1877 the Diocese of St Albans spans across the historic counties of Bedfordshire & Hertfordshire and as part of the Church of England. Working in close collaboration to come up with a style and aesthetic, my work has helped showcase the broad breadth of life and activities across the diocese. Much of the work was carried out to populate their new website.
We've worked with Greg on a number of projects over the last few years and he always produces excellent results. But, more than that, we know that when we send him on location, he will represent us well. He puts people at ease, gives good direction and produces great photos that enhance the stories we're trying to tell - Rob Hargrave, Director of Communications, Diocese of St Albans
Bishop Jane’s Welcome Service
Following her ordination at Canterbury Cathedral, the new Bishop of Hertford Jane Mainwaring was welcomed at a special service of celebration at All Saints Church in Hertford.
Easter Pilgrimage 2023
Occurring on Easter Monday every year, the Easter pilgrimage is a long standing traditional event held at St Albans Cathedral and one of the largest services of the year.
Luton Airport Chaplaincy
Airport chaplaincy is an important but often unknown aspect of work at the diocese. From offering advice to travelers to welcoming and helping newly arrived refugees from Ukraine, it’s a good example that the work of the church extends far beyond that of normal Sunday services.
Life Across the Diocese
As part of creating the new website I was sent across the region to cover Sunday services, showcasing the full breadth of life across the diocese, both urban and rural.
Life at the Diocese
Work isn’t just on Sundays. During the working week a large and hard working team organise and coordinate the work the diocese carries out during the year which encompasses hundreds of churches and thousands of people.
Schools in the Diocese
Church of England schools in the region are heavily linked with the diocese and play an integral role in educating the next generation.
Diocese Buildings
As part of updating the photo library, I was tasked with photographing buildings across all areas of the diocese to represent all areas.
